CHARLES OSBORNE

Meet Charles:

Charles Osborne, is a Charlotte native raised in the Hidden Valley community, but spent many days and nights with his aunt who resided in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood. Charles is a successful small business owner that operates in North and South Carolina. In 2022 Charles lead his company to be one of Charlotte top minority businesses. Before taking a leap of faith into entrepreneurship, Charles served the Charlotte community by working for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department(CMPD). While serving the community for 6 years with CMPD, he worked in violent crimes investigations and the community engagement division, working with juveniles. 

Charles is a proud product of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), graduating from Z.B. Vance High School currently recognized as Julius Chambers High School. Going into the workforce to support his family after high school, Charles attended Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and pursued an Associate of Criminal Justice degree.

Charles finds his greatest fulfillment in fatherhood, cherishing his role as a proud father to three wonderful children. Charles is an active member at Zion Temple Of Pentecost (ZTOP) church. In his leisure moments, Charles is an enthusiastic cyclist,enjoys golfing, and spending quality time with his family. Charles volunteers as an assistant coach with the Charlotte Flights track team. Having spent the last decade serving the community through various service organizations, Charles is passionate about community service and advocating for all residents to receive equitable access to Mecklenburg County services.

In December 2023, Charles graduated from the  Charlotte Elective Leadership Program. He is also a valued member of the African-American Caucus and the Black Political Caucus, contributing to his commitment to community engagement and service.
